Despite what you may have been told, vegans have apparently survived COVID. One of the things we were worried about was, could a business like a vegan restaurant survive in the best of times. Luckily, Heart and Soy not only survived, but thrived. I’m glad they made it when others didn’t and was happy to make a trip to the Highlands to come out surprised in the happiest of ways. Misty said I should do a selfie time shot with messy Jeremiah after the destruction of his first birthday cake. At first, I wasn’t going to take one because I thought he might be experiencing some sensory overload. It’s been a little bit, but we got to spend some time with grandson Jeremiah. As usual, if we’re spending time together, we simply must have selfie-time. With all the work-from-home stuff and some mandatory overtime, it’s made it difficult to get out of town to visit. For people who have not visited the Louisville Zoo, there are two extra loveable attractions: the elephants and the polar bears. So, when we visited the Wild Lights at the Zoo display last night, I had to find a polar bear. Actually around Glacier Run, there’s a bunch of polar bear inflatables.
